Flockenpüree. Michel Majerus, die Künstlergruppe 3K-NH und seine frühen Freunde, Video 2012 / 2021
In 2012 Ulrike Groos from the Kunstmuseum, Stuttgart, invited me to participate in a contemporary witness interview in front of guests at the Michel Majerus exhibition. Instead of the interview, I made the film „Flockenpüree“, originally intended just for that one evening.
The production took several months, during which I reviewed my own film and photo archives and asked friend an acquaintances to do the same. The idea of making a film about the time we spent with Michel was well received by all of his friends, because there was little public information about how closely he worked with some of us, and the close contact we all maintained in the years afterwards.
The group dynamics of the early years were definitely stimulated by Michel. It was a joyful, collaborative time, although, of course, we all had our own professional ambitions too. A surprisingly large amount of material was turned up and, as a result, the film turned out to be much more extensive and in depth than I had expected or, indeed, intended. The end result was a low-budget, but emotionally intense, production. The film was edited by Thomas Eifler, Berlin, who also did the music. Thomas was one of the first friends with whom Michel collaborated on large pictures.Ms. Groos had the film projected onto a large screen in the first room of the exhibition at the Stuttgart Art Museum. In 2022, the film was shown in the private exhibition space of Wiensowski and Harbord, Berlin, on the occasion of a retrospective „3K-NH“ exhibition. In the same year the film was also shown at the Kunstwerke Berlin, and in 2023 in the Mudam Museum, Luxemburg.

Ingeborg Wiensowski was among the first supporters of the 3K-NH group and its members. In 2022, she invited the artists Stephan Jung, Wawrzyniec Tokarski, and Susa Reinhardt to her gallery for a documentary exhibition. As part of this exhibition, the film Flockenpüree was shown in Berlin for the first time.

The collaborative works by Michel Majerus and Susa Reinhardt from 1993 build on their joint exhibition “Öl und Pudding” held in Berlin in 1992. These are oil paintings on wooden panels executed quickly, each created through a process of dialogue.

The 3K-NH group was founded in the fall of 1992 by Nader Ahriman, Stephan Jung, Michel Majerus, Susa Reinhardt, and Wawrzyniec Tokarski.
The first exhibition took place in November 1992 in a classroom of Prof. Joseph Kosuth’s class at the Stuttgart Academy of Art. Prof. Kosuth had created a dedicated exhibition space for his students.

Oil and Pudding: A Joint Exhibition by Michel Majerus and Susa Reinhardt, Berlin, 1992.
As part of the exhibition series “Buying Art on Invalidenstrasse,” conceived by Stephan Jung and held in a squatted house on Invalidenstrasse in Berlin-Mitte, a joint exhibition concept was realized. It featured approximately 80 small oil paintings, two large acrylic paintings, a wall installation, and several installations with multiples.

In 1993, the 3K-NH group held three consecutive exhibitions in a ground-floor apartment on Linienstrasse in Berlin. Each exhibition lasted four days. The two exhibition spaces were completely redesigned three times.
